Bear Creek 10 Mile Trail Run December 2, 2007 Information at: www.rrrc.org (on the calendar)
Swinging Bridge 50K+ TRAIL RUN JANUARY 19, 2008 (On line registration on calendar at:www.rrrc.org) (Aid Stations – Approx. every 6 miles)
Where: Bear Creek State Park, Cumberland, Virginia
The Willis River Trail is a 90% single track trail, 10% dirt road, through the hardwood Cumberland Forest and Bear Creek State Park. There are about 10 minor (ankle to knee depth) stream crossings, with rolling hills but no long or steep climbs. Sounds easy, but for some reason is slower than you would expect(probably because it is closer to 32 miles). But you won’t see anyone on the trail but the runners.
When: 8:00am, Saturday, January 19, 2008
Details: 5th Annual. A laid-back 50K on the Willis River Trail managed by the Richmond Road Runners Club. Runners can run all or part of the 50K with the 35K option as this point is at the start finish area.
